Arguments against the morning-after pill

Creation of the morning-after pill has caused controversy in the last years, because it stops you from becoming pregnant if contraception failed or wasn't used. There are many reasons against this method. This essay will explain some arguments to support it.

First of all, Doctor Celeste McGovern declares the morning-after pill “makes women vomit, bleed, feel sick and dizzy and, 75% of the time if she is pregnant (and no one can be sure if she is), shed an unwanted fertilized egg.”

Moreover, "Biologically, physically, genetically, and embryologically pregnancy begins at conception," counters Calgary pharmacist Maria Bizecki, who belongs to Concerned Pharmacists for Conscience, an Alberta group that is lobbying for pharmacists' right to refuse to dispense abortifacients. "The public is being lied to about the way this works. “The morning after pill terminates a pregnancy in its very early stages," she emphasizes.

On the other hand, no research has shown any increase in abnormalities among babies whose mothers took the morning-after pill. But past experiences showed that other hormones taken in early pregnancy have harmed children.

In brief, the morning-after pill causes damages in the women and many doctors consider it like an abortion technique; but no research has proved abnormalities in the sons of women whose used the morning-after pill. In my opinion methods like it promote licentiousness between people.
